scary L&D story!

check out this birth story, it's scary but at least it has a happy ending! I can only imagine how tragic it would have been if she wasn't at the hospital at the time....

Re: scary L&D story!

  • That is scary.  It was a fear I faced each day I was on bedrest with a partial previa.  I'd be pissed they missed that.  Her doctors should have never been doing cervical checks because most likely they caused her to bleed like that.

When my water broke I woke up screaming that I was hemorraging because it was the first thing I thought.  If I had been it would have played out just like that and I would have died at home most likely since I'm 30 minutes from a hospital.  It's scary.

  • Whoa!  Glad mom and baby are okay!

wow. yeah, I had a partial previa early on but they did not put me on bedrest...but I know the doctor said that if I still had it at the next u/s that they would not go anywhere near my cervix towards the end of the pregnancy!  I can't believe they did not see the previa either...wonder if they can see it on the u/s images now when they go back and look?

  • Woah... Scary.

I'm betting they can.  It's crazy they didn't know and that she didn't bleed prior to that.
