I just saw your ticker and I can't believe the girls are already 4 months!!! Where has the time gone? How have they been developing? Can they roll over yet? Teething? How are they sleeping at night?
Just as soon as Declan turned 4 months it seemed like he learned to do something new each day and he continues to amaze me!
Re: **Kristi**
I know!!!! I don't know where the time has gone. I think now that we have the right combinations of medications and formula for each of them (they are both on different things) that they will start to show signs of development. Their adjusted age is 3 months and it is wild that they are in line with a 3 month old. I always thought that was a bunch of crap. But it really isn't. Sofia is starting to show some signs of rolling over. They have both been teething for a few weeks now. Still working on the sleeping at night. Sofia will do it more often than Ava but they still wake up. They've actually been doing well the past few days at night (now I probably jinxed myself). They still aren't taking a lot of formula. Sofia weighs 13 lbs and Ava weighs 11 lbs. They are both in the 10 and 5 percents (actually Ava is in the less than 5 percent). Sofia will take anywhere from 4.5 to 5 ounces. And Ava anywhere from 4-4.5 ounces. The pedi wants me to start them on cereal but I feel like it is too soon. When did you start Declan?
How is Declan?
That's great that you think you've found the right combination of medicine and formula. We still have issues with spitting up but at least now it doesn't bother Declan as much. He's still on Prevacid and also getting the Similac Sensitive RS formula. He's gaining weight though so that's great. He's up to 17.5 pounds (90th %) and is already 26.5 inches (97th %) and about ready to be too big for his infant carrier.
Yeah for Sofia starting to try rolling over. I'm sure once she's got it down Ava will follow close behind as to not let her sister show her up! Great that they've been sleeping better at night! Hopefully it just keeps getting better for you! I can't believe how little the girls weigh. Could you try adding some of the Similac Sensitive RS formula to their current formula since it has the added rice starch? But if their weight has been consistantly in the same low % I'm surprised the doctor is concerned. They're not losing right? Maybe they'll just be small.
Declan still hasn't had cereal and we probably won't start him on it until around Thanksgiving (so about 5.5 months) because he still seems content with formula. Most days he's drinking up to 32 ounces (8 oz bottles). He can roll from his tummy to his back, has found his feet, actively plays with his toys, and has a new fascination with pulling hair (mine and Toby's) and then laughing. He's at such a fun stage right now and smiles or laughs all the time! Right now though he's sick with his 2nd cold and sounds miserable. Luckily he's still sleeping pretty well at night (12 hours like normal last night) even though he's congested.
You'll have to post a new picture of the girls so we can see how much they've changed!
