Broadway Show Attire ?

Hi Ladies

I will be visiting NYC in late December and have plans to see a broadway show. I am from Florida and am at a loss for what to wear to the show much less winter in NYC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, Broadway isn't what it used to be (a ballgown/black tie gala). Anything goes these days. I've seen people get dressed up to the nines and some that looked like they just rolled out of bed (that could have been me once or twice lol). Wear whatever you'd like and enjoy the show!

I usually wear what I guess is business casual (black pants and a nice top), but as MrsDe said people wear whatever they want these days. I think matinees are even more casual than the evening shows.

I generally dress as I would if I were going out to dinner (mostly because if we're going to a show, we're probably going out to dinner as well!)
