@ my wedding photographer.
It took almost 8 weeks after the wedding to see our pictures.
I was e-mailing him in September, to find out what I had to do about my album and my DVD montage (you would think he would voluntarily e-mail/call me with this information). So, he ignored e-mail #1. I follow up with him 3 weeks later, and I get - Oh, sorry, I'm in the middle of a move, and my grandfather just died. Okay, I get it, you have a life. He told me he would e-mail me the instructions in a day or two (that was in September).
It is now November. I foward his e-mail (about sending the info in a day or two), and I say, I hope I'm not bugging you, but I'm trying to get all things wedding wrapped up. He writes me back, using poor grammer, and from reading it, has attitude (I know it's e-mail but still). Telling me to pick four songs for the montage and about 65 pictures.
Point being, the directions are not that complicated! I just want my album so I can be done with him. He's not a professional in the least!
How did you go about picking your top 65 or whatever photos, (like an organized way?!?)
Re: A Little Annoyed
Similar to clarisa_b, I made a list of the "moments" I wanted and then found the pictures to match. I also did a "top 5 MUST" list, a "top 15 LOVE" list, and then a list of the others that I liked. I told him beyond the 20 "must/love" that I trusted his creative impulses.
We only got one song, which he picked. However, we talked about making our own DVD and agreed that we wanted four "classic" songs and to use something OTHER than our first/last dance songs.

Married
When I made the books I tried to do it like a timeline of the day. A few getting ready pics, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids, group shots, family shots, ceremony, dancing, speeches, and cake cutting.
Great ideas, thanks ladies.
