Good Morning Lovelies :-)
How was everyone's weekend?
Ours was pretty laid back.. Friday night we had dinner with my parents, then watched our shows on DVR from Thursday night.
Saturday I went shopping with my mom, then we had my parents and my brother and FSIL over for fajitas for dinner. And we did a puzzle. Craaaaazy life we lead! Hahahaha
Yesterday I lounged around a lot - DH went to play roller hockey, so I did laundry. When he got home he watched some TV while I read.
I'm telling you - craaazy life! Hahaha
Re: Good Morning Lovelies :-)
Pretty low key too. Friday night we had dinner with my brother and his gf for her bday and then they came over to see the house. Saturday I went to Target to get some stuff for the house, then we unpacking and hung up the stuff I got. Sunday we lounged around, watched football, and got groceries.

Good morning! Everyone's weekend sounds so relaxing!
We went to Vermont for a long weekend. We drove up Friday morning, had a little lunch and went to a cheese farm, checked into our room, watched a movie, played cards, ate dinner (just cooked in the unit- my mom traded some time on a timeshare for us), watched another movie. Saturday we went up to Killington to walk around & shop (new gloves for me- 50% off at one of the ski shops!), went to the Long Trail brewery for some tasting and lunch, back to the room for Dh to watch football & me to read, and out to dinner. Came home early yesterday to clean the house and do grocery shopping. I read most of the day and DH watched football. Nice and relaxing!
Ehhh my weekend wasn't the best
Friday night was decent- came home & made a yummy dinner. Then chilled and watched a movie.
Saturday, I gave a lecture to a bunch of patients and started feeling really crummy by the end. I somehow hurt my neck and the muscles were freaking out! I spent the rest of the day laying down and miserable.
Sunday, I went to urgent care & then home to rest. The neck is starting to feel better, but wow, that was not fun! DH left Sunday morning, went to the Pats game and then stayed at a friend's house. He's working on the Cape for the next two days.
Our weekend was nice.
Friday night we just hung out at home.
Saturday was my cousins baby's christening. I was the godmother so it was very nice. I was a total baby hog and not ashamed to say it.
Sunday my mom has my nephews so we hung out with them. My mom and I went to Honey Pot and my older nephew wanted to come, the little one stayed back with my DH and my Dad.
mesa, hope you're feeling a lot better soon!
Friday night we had dinner with some friends. I ate waaaaay too much, but we all had fun chatting and then one couple came back to see our house afterwards.
Saturday night we went out to dinner again with some more friends and had dessert afterwards at Finale.
Yesterday we had volleyball in the evening--fun!
Ditto!
Happy Monday!
Friday night was spent buying paint samples for the living room walls, and then friends came over for pizza and BSG night
Saturday we bought paint for the living room finally, and while DH spent the say putting on the first coat, I brought the pup to the vet, got my nails done, and sat through the slideshow of our wedding album. Then Sat night we went to Hooters with some friends, and I finished a bottle of Reisling solo will playing Beirut.
Sunday, I spent the morning uploading wedding pics, getting my bio all set, began out nesting bio, and then we had a Lia Sophia party at my Mom's, courtesy of Jill/D74, which was followed by a delicious dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.
And now I am fat. Good thing I woke up and went to the gym this morning for the first time since the wedding!
jcam, where does your DH play roller hockey? Mine plays too, but hasn't found anyone to play with since he moved to MA.
?My relaxing and fun weekend: Friday I was sick, so I stayed home- which I felt guilty about, but?was the right decision, I felt a lot better on Saturday.
Saturday I lounged around in the morning and then we went to Macy's for a registry completion event (they only had 1 item in stock, and even that was just the display one, but for 20% off, that's ok) and also got some stuff we didn't register for, and a Christmas gift, then had dinner before we collapsed from hunger.
Sunday, fortunately I was well enough to go to Framingham for the Cake Wrecks book signing (which was SO SO fun), and then ran a few errands around Natick and had dinner at the Naked Fish, one of my fave restaurants from my college days. We also discovered that Natick really isn't that far from Worcester, so I think we may be going there more often.
And today, I feel 100% back to normal! Also, our photographer emailed me yesterday to show me the digital copies of our wedding album!! I just need to ok the arrangement and she'll send it off to be printed, and we'll have it in time for Christmas :-D?
He goes with his friend and my brother, and sometimes my brother's friend, to Chelmsford High. I'll see if they'd be interested in another player
Thanks!
I'm so frustrated because I can't figure out how I hurt myself! I'm such a klutz.
I'm definitely feeling better today- I never realized that you rely on your neck muscles to blow your nose and I'm so congested... so that was really the worst part of it!
Oh I didn't know if maybe they played with a larger group. I'm trying to help DH find something to do, he really misses all his hockey. I heard about a sports equipment store in Worcester that might know of some ice hockey groups he could join, I think he means to go over there and check that out. So far he's only found learn-to-play-hockey type of adult groups, and he's played recreational hockey for about 12 years.
I feel bad, I have zumba, my knitting group, and pilates tues, wed and thurs, and he just sits alone and watches tv. I must find him some sort of activity! After all, I'm the one that made him move here and leave his friends, hockey and softball groups behind.
