Here is some of the work that we have done so far (and what I got picture of).
Getting rid of the pink glitter paint! It took some serious priming!
Going green! So much nicer!
Almost done with the green!

Chair that desperatly needed to be refinished.
The beginning of the stripping/sanding process. See the difference between the back and legs? Lots of work!
Chair that has been stripped/sanded and has the first coat of ivory spray paint. It needs another coat of ivory and then a coat of the lacquer spray paint.
New upholstery! I love my new fabric!
What the chair should pretty much look like when I'm done. This still needs a coat of ivory and the lacquer coat (notice the bit of pink/red showing through on the legs).
Re: Some before/after pics. Work done so far (all DIY)
This is legal advice. Circa 2011
Love the wall color! A million times better than that God awful pink. I like pink but that was turning my stomach lol
The chair looks great too! Was it hard to do? I always see chairs on craigslist that I'd love to paint and reupholster because I like the style of the chair just not the color. I haven't gotten brave enough to try it yet.
Thanks everyone!
Belle, it is really not hard to do, just time consuming depending on the original finish of the chair. Once the finish is roughed up, and you've created a pattern using the old seat cover (which is not hard to do), it doesn't take too long. The fabric that I chose it a little harder to work with because of the pattern, and I wanted certain things to end up in the middle and to corners, I had to carefully line everything up. After doing the first one though, it wasn't bad. and stapling it on is easy-peasy. If you decide to do it let me know, and I can give you more detailed advice.
Like I said it's more time consuming than difficult.
