How was your weekend (& Monday)?

How was your weekend and Monday?

Re: How was your weekend (& Monday)?

  • Friday we relaxed and watched football and went to bed early as DH had to work.

Saturday DH worked 8 hours so I went shopping with my younger sister.  I made some cookies for DH and we had some friends over for the Husker game.

Sunday after church we did some more raking and relaxed.

  • Saturday, I was supposed to work all day but, thankfully, got off early. Taking advantage of the day together, the hubbs and I went to lunch and a movie.

Sunday, I worked all day and H played WoW.

  • I had a lovely 4-day weekend.  :)  DH and I went to Cleveland for a concert on Thursday night and ended up driving back home after (it's about two hours).  We relaxed all day Friday and went to a movie with friends on Friday night (the Hangover - in a cheap, local theater).  Saturday was shopping/football/takeout day and we got a free photo shoot for Piper to help out a local photog (see siggy)!  Sunday was just football and laundry.
  • Friday MIL was in town and she took us to dinner and then we came home to watch the Hangover.  I crashed on the couch and went to bed at 3:30 am LOL.

Saturday, she left and Brett & I were sitting around and decided to go for a drive.  He put on jeans [spoil sport didn't want to go out and about in comic book sweats haha], grabbed the camera and batteries, gased up, got a coffee and off we went.  We had a nice drive, no radio or cell phones and talked.  We saw tons of Christmas lights, so we are going to buying some soon!

Sunday was the exact opposite of Pallies.  I played WOW and Brett worked all day, hahahaha.  I also folded my laundry, that sucked.  I'll never slack on four loads again.

Yesterday wasn't to bad, I wasn't feeling to great last night, but do today.  There is a cold going around the office and I'm trying not to catch it!

  • Friday night we went to a local bar where we ate free pizza (was SO yummy!) and cheap beer (which I did not have). Saturday we got new tires on the Accord and we bought my "Christmas present" - a new cd player and speakers for the Pilot. Sat night we went to a big bonfire/weenie roast for my family. It was pretty fun, but I pooped out early. We were home and I was asleep on the couch by 9:30! Lol. Sunday was a lazy day of laundry and I bathed the dog. Monday I had my first ultrasound because of the cramping and spotting I had last week. I am officially about 6 weeks along! The baby measures perfect and I got to see the flutter of the heartbeat! Couldn't hear it yet though, its way too small. But I feel better now that I've had the u/s. But I've been dealing with "all day sickness", not just morning sickness. I really hope it goes away soon. I almost yacked allover my laptop this morning for no good reason :(
  • Sara- I'm sorry about the all day sickness, but the term yacked made me giggle!  Hope you get over that phase soon!

The weekend went very well. We had an impromptu happy hour on Friday night which was long overdue and a ton of fun.  And like the old people that we are, we all went home around 9pm!  Party Animals!!

Saturday we went car shopping and decided on what we are going to get.  However we have to order it from the factory (which we are going to do tonight) so we will have it in early January at the earliest.  But I'm still excited.

Sunday we went to mass and then bbqed to enjoy the beautiful day we had.

  • I worked on Saturday, yuck... but the overtime was hard to resist.  Sunday we hung out with friends and watched football.  We also (finally) finsihed picking out the pictures for our wedding album.

  • Friday, I was home sick. I felt better after some medicine and rest. That night we went to DH's cousin's wedding.

On Saturday I went to an arts and crafts fair with my mom, cousin, and nannie. After my mom and I went shopping for things for my sister's baby shower. My sister came to visit in the afternoon, so we all visited at my parent's house for the LSU vs. Alabama game. After we all went out to eat, then DH and I went home.

On Sunday, I had a bridal shower all day for one of my friends (since I'm a BM, it was all day for me).
