Need DJ Recommendations!
I am getting married in October on Long Island at Foxhollow. We do not have a DJ yet because I am scared to just book with anyone off line because who really knows if they are good! As prior brides-to-be I could really use some recommendations from couples who had a great experience with their DJ and would suggest I use them too! I am looking for a non stop dance party to play top hits as well as some fun songs from back in the day. My fiance loves house so we need someone who can work with our different styles. Thanks so much for the help!

I loved my DJ. I actually hired him without ever having seen his work based on a friend who was using him. I actually got to check him out in person at her wedding after I put down a deposit and was not disappointed. I don't recall his phone number but he's out in Ronkonkoma I think. His name is Ralph Siragusa and his company is called High Energy. Now I got married over 7 years ago so he may not be in business anymore but if he is definitely meet with him.
He was great because he kept everything moving smoothly. He didn't just DJ, he made sure that things went on schedule (dinner, cake, dances) and he had props and things to hand out for different dances. He also worked with the guests to teach them the dances like the chicken dance, Hands Up and the Electric Slide (remember it was 7 years ago).
You should post this on the Knot board as well, you'll probably get more responses.
