update re: possible induction
so I'm making some progress, not much, but a little....today I was "a fingertip dilated" and my cervix is softer than it was on Fri with a little effacement but she did not give me a %. she also said she could feel my pelvis "opening up." the baby has dropped a little further and my ob said she could easily break my water at this point if she wanted to....
I did ask her why she doesn't want me to go beyond 41 wks and she said
that's b/c the baby's risk of meconium aspiration are much higher after
41 wks.
so the current plan is for me to do as much as I can in the next few days to induce labor (she suggested walking, squats, and nipple stimulation) but if I don't have the baby by the end of this week then we are inducing on Monday. I would be checking in to the hospital at 9pm on Sun night for the cervidil to soften/dilate my cervix and they would induce with pitocin between 6-8am on Monday.
she said it's still possible for me to go into labor any day now, so please send lots of labor dust my way (just not on Friday the 13th please 
)
