I need some help.. I'm making dinner Saturday for my bro and FSIL but with the little one not quite on a schedule yet, I can't devote 2-3 hours to making something all at once like I used to.
I'm thinking of finding something I can make in steps or ahead of time and then just throw in the over when they get here...?
has anyone had any good success with prep ahead meals that they want to share?
Re: Dinner Idea help
We love this one, and make it alot for company. Super easy, and sooooo good!
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-bbq-flank-steak-with-chipotle-mayo/detail.aspxBaked pasta is always easy to prepare in advance.
Or even roast chicken with root veggies. Everything can be washed and prepped and ready to stick in the oven.
pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and oven roasted sweet potato fries.
you're either using the crock pot or prepping ahead and using the oven.
I ditto the root veggie idea. I ade this great parsnip and parmesan side for Christmas last year,

The crockpot would be the easiest to use. You could do a roast beef with vegetables.
Or you could do lasanga and casear salad.
Anything in the crockpot is always a success!
I have a recipe somewhere for chicken with apple pecan stuffing somewhere... it was delish!
