Scary labour & delivery tour
We had just started the tour portion of the night when they announced a code blue in one of the L&D recovery rooms. I'm not a terribly emotional person and can't say that pregnancy has changed this; but, hearing that terrified me and made me really choked up. Thank God that within 30 seconds or so, they announced a false alarm.
I've never seen so many nurses run so fast and one that had even passed us a minute or so earlier on her way out at the end of her shift came sprinting back into the nursing station.

That is scary but also good to hear that they have such a great reaction time.

ha! they probably fake it on tours for dramatic effect. ?(I'm clearly kidding, but how silly would it be?!)?
Definitely would give me chills too - thankfully it was just a false alarm!
I remember on our tour of the L&D, 2 couples from our class were already in the maternal child ward with their newborns (they went a month early!)... so crazy!
