Does anyone have Cox for your home phone?

Re: Does anyone have Cox for your home phone?

  • I use to have Cox for phone, internet, and cable, but I switched to AT&T. Cox is just so expensive!! I have the same services with AT&T that I had with Cox but I save about $50 a month.
  • hmm... I am switching my home phone to Cox bc they already have our cable and internet and it was cheaper than AT&T.  We just have a basic phone line for our house security system.

  • Are you doing the bundle?

The bundle is a good deal but when your year is up and all of a sudden your bill is $30 more than it used to be, it sucks.  That's what happened to us.  I'm sorry, but we just don't use our home phone enough to justify paying $30 a month for it!  I want to cut it off but the alarm is set up through it and we're having issues with that.

Another bad thing about it is that since it's through the modem, when you lose electricity, you lose your phone.  Which in my mind, one of the perks of having the home phone was that we'd be able to use it in the event that the power was out.

    Bottom Line:

    I do not recommend Cox.
