Any Coach purse experts on? Question....
My IL's are so graciously getting me a new purse for Christmas. I can finally get a nice, expensive purse and not feel guilty because I'm spending so much! I have looked online and I really like the Coach style. I have heard there is a Coach outlet at Hershey. Are the prices significantly cheaper? The purse I like is about $279-ish. I have a $300 limit and would love to be able to get a wallet too. Thanks!

ohhh.... lucky girl! I hope you enjoy! Also a friend of mine LOVES Coach and she signed up for their e-mail and periodically gets 20% off coupons.... that may work out really well for you! She went and got this gorgeous purse that I am super jealous for $80!! And it is leather!
If you have your heart set on a perticular style of bag the outlet may not be the best choice for you since you never know what they will have. It's best to just go in and see what they have, because sometimes there are super deals. I was just at the one in Grove City a few weeks ago and got a winter white/creamish colore leather hobo and a scarf to tie on it for $116 in their clearance section.
IMO I think the wallets can be overpriced, a lot of times at the outlet they can range from $100-$200, I always think I can get a purse for that. I do have a wallet and I really like it, and its held up great (DH got me a purse and matching wallet when he took me on a b-day trip to NYC a few years ago).

a few pieces of advice as i am a coach purseaholic....
like pp said, the outlet does not always have the same styles as you see online. if you really really want something particular you may not find it. but it may be worth your while to check out the outlet to see if they do have it and then you may find something you like better.
i personally like to look at purses in person because its something i use on a daily basis and if it doesnt have an opening thats big enough, or pockets i like, i would be really disappointed and it would just sit in my closet. IMO, i like going to the outlet because i know exactly what im getting especially with such an expensive purchase.
make sure you check the coupon codes board in case there is anything listed on there.
the coach outlet at hershey has a good selection and ive never had any problems there. however, i have found on more than one occasion that the lancaster outlet is actually cheaper than the hershey outlet. they usually have the same or similar stock, but reduced more than hershey. for instance...my BFF bought a medium sized purse at hershey for $189 and the next day i got the same purse in the large size for $159 at lancaster. if you have the ability to go to lancaster, i would recommend it.
the hershey outlet opens at midnight on black friday. if you are considering this to try to get an extra discount on the purse, i would beware. unless you are an avid black friday shopper. the crowds are ridiculous and if you arent there by 9 PM you can forget about getting a parking space in the outlets. a lot of people park along 39 and walk which i think is crazy. also, while the stock may get slightly depleted at midnight, the coach outlet runs the same sale throughout black friday. so if you get there in the morning, you'll still get the same price as at midnight but with less crowds.
