I just really need to tell someone how proud I am of my husband. When we first met 10 years ago he smoked. He quit that about 8-9 years ago, but immediately started chewing tabacco to replace his nicotine cravings. I've been on him since to please stop for so many reasons. He always said no. Well, what do you know? He quit all on his own about 3 weeks ago. Just cold turkey. He's been chewing gum like madman, but he's no longer dipping and I'm beyond thrilled!
I think Cate had a little something to do with it since he's been wrapped around her little finger from day 1
Re: Can I AW for a moment?
thats great! you should be proud of him, he should be proud of himself too.
on a side note: I can't stand dipping I think it is so incredibly disgusting!
it's something to be proud of! If he ends up wearing the patches for some reason, make sure he doesn't have one on near bedtime because according to my DH, you have the most horrific nightmares you will ever have. And our pharmacist confirmed this! I don't know why, it's crazy!
good for him! I so wish Dusty would quit dipping, I think it is so gross!
Congrats MrB2D! Good for him!
MH chewed tobacco for a long time before he met me and when I found out I was horrified. So disgusting. So he quit then started again then quit again and he's been quit now for two years.
Tell YH that MH liked to use sunflower seeds while he was trying to quit. He could put them in his lip so he had the feeling, then he'd crack them and spit the shells in a cup. It helped a lot with the cravings he said.
I showed him the commercial the other day with the man who had the right side of his jaw removed and was like "look that could have been you, don't ever do that again!" lol
