Recommend a Laptop (PC)

DH & I need a PC for the business. PC would be best for our needs.

At work I have a Toshiba, which I like pretty well. But it's been a while since I've needed to get a new computer.

Any recommendations?

    We have been happy with our Toshiba Satellite, although it's probably 4 years old so I'm not sure what else is out there.

     

    I have a Dell for work and don't like it.  I think the keyboard feels cheap.

    Dh bought a Pink Dell for me for our anniversary/my birthday in April and I love it so far! I haven't had any problems out of it and I use it every day.

     

    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.     Being in IT,   I recommend Dell, Toshiba, IBM (Lenovo).  I highly recommend you stay away from HP.

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Ha-ha, my co-worker is a computer junkie and she hates that we have to have Dell at work but she recs HP if you want a PC.  She likes Mac though.  I just bought a cheap, basic Acer last Friday for our web browsing.  It's fast, but probably not powerful enough for work.  Check out bfads.net, they have lots of lap top deals listed.

    I always buy HP laptops at microcenter on their refurb program. you can purchase a warranty for 3 years which is typically the life of them anyway, plus you can afford to throw in some more memory if you want. They are usually about 400-500 bucks.

    I want a mac but that will have to wait until we buy a home.

    We bought a Dell a couple months back and we love it.  You can cuild a laptop on their website and it give you all the pricing, etc..
