When you go to the beach, do you wear polish on your toes?

I like a good pedicure... but, I've had the polish disappear in the HI waves. I don't know if it was the force of the water or the sand the waves kicked up.

... then, there is the irrational fear that if I wear a sparkly polish, I might look like fishing lure (aka: shark bait).

If you wear it, what brand/color do you like the best?

I'll be there in a week! Help me have pretty feet without being eaten by sharks.

I wear polish on my toes anytime, anywhere. Stick out tongue

Always red or occasionally a pink - I like bold colors down there. Favorite brand is probably OPI, just because that shiznit lasts forever.

I definitely wear polish on the beach. I also like bold colors, but I'm more of a dark purple kind of girl. I don't like sparkles though, but your fishing bait fear made me giggle!

LMAO! I totally thought I was the only one on the planet who had the Jaws will eat my a$$ if I wear sparkly polish phobia!!! Glad to hear I'm not alone. I always do french with a cute hawaiian flower design. Haven't been attacked yet(knock on wood) and it stays on forever. I have never had so much as a chip. Even with 3 weeks in the sand and surf. That way you can have the best of both worlds, long wear(french) and color(flowers). Whichever you choose, you know now we'll be needing pix of your tootsies at the beach right?!

LOL! I'm always afraid that my sparkly toes are a shark magnet!!! That said, my toes are always polished in some bright color.

hahahahahah resident surfer girl totally has to chime in on this post. first off my toes have not been without colour on them since i was 15 or 16 i don't even know what colour my toenails are. BEing a surf betty it is tough keeping polish on my nails-i used to love deep reds but i found that they often times would chip. OPI makes really good polishes that stay on. I find now that i trend toward a lime greem or turquoise blue and then i put on a top coat with loads of sparkles because i find that the sparkles help keep polish on toes and if i am shark bait so be it. opi mermaid to order can be purchased at sephora

I love OPI too. I usually wear silvery colors...haven't ever thought about looking like fish bait tho but that's a good pt!

That's the exact kind that attracts sharks!

Well, fish, like it. It's back in style... I wonder if they took the fish magnet out of it since the 90s. In Florida, when you get in, a million little fish swarm you. Freaky!

I, too, love polish on my toes MOST of the time. I gave it up when I was pregnant, b/c there was an article in Shape or some mag that said the chemicals weren't good for the baby (I know, hardly JAMA or other reputable medical journal... but, if I had a baby with problems, I didn't want to think it was b/c of my cute toes). Whenever I see my feet without pretty colors, I think "Man Feet". Ew.

Ohhhhh, no wonder...on our honeymoon, I also had silver OPI Polish on and in Tahiti this one fish wouldn't leave me alone! It even bit me so hard that my foot bled! Now I know why =P
