Wording for co-ed shower invite

Any creative ladies have any ideas on how to word a shower invite, so that it is clear that it is co-ed, without just saying "Come to Ginny's Co-ed Shower!"

Re: Wording for co-ed shower invite

  • I've always heard of these called "Jack and Jill" showers.

  • I would just put both of the invitees' names on the envelope and make sure that you say something along the lines of, "Please join us for a shower honoring John and Jane Doe..."

I was going to say the same thing.

I recently got an invite with both our names on the envelope, but the invite didn't have the dad's name on it, so I had to ask if it was co-ed to be sure.  I think having that would've made it clear to me.

  • I helped throw a co-ed baby shower last year but I can't remember the exact wording we used.  I think we referred to it as a "couples shower", and that seemed to work.  It was so much fun!  We managed to come up with some games the guys enjoyed too.
  • I just addressed the envelopes to Mr and Mrs. ....... or Ms. .... and guest.  People got the idea and I didn't have to specify.
  • Recently my friend did this, and she just had the invite like this: Join us for a couple shower in honor of Jack and Jill Doe.

  • If your friends are like my guy co-workers and friends you need to spell it out in some way that guys are invited too.  We had a Jack and jill shower and the guys just didn't get it.
