another dyson question

How often do you have to clean out your dyson if you have pets? Is it easy to do? Is the purple one on this woot.com? My DH said we can get one right away I'm excited. I need a spot bot too, are they on woot.com?

    What do you mean by cleaning it out? I empty mine each time but really haven't "cleaned" it out - ever.  Maybe that's gross?  :).

    We empty ours every time we vacuum. It's super easy - not like changing the bag on a normal vacuum. Then again, maybe we and our two dogs are exceedingly filthy, too. And like someone else said on a previous post, you really don't need the purple one. The suction is what matters and the yellow ones are fine for that. I actually registered for the yellow one, but someone bought us the purple instead. Basically, get whatever one's on that awesome deal. You won't be disappointed! I can't help you with the spot bot, though.

    I guess I meant how often do you have to empty it out? I was thinking about the fliter on my carpet shampooer, I always have to clean that thing out... sorry! The vacuum I have now has to be emptied every time I use it. That could be because I have 3 dogs though...

    I personally empty it every time I use it, but it is super easy to do and I enjoy it because it makes me feel good seeing all the dirt and hair go into the trash. :)

    I empty it every time, but you are supposed to clean the filters and such every once in awhile. I haven't done that, but I might get even better suction if I did!! :)

    It just depends how much hair and crap you have on your carpet.  I vacuum about once a week and usually empty it out after floor just because it picks up so much.

    We have a spot bot too.  We didn't get it on woot.com, but we had it for about 6 months and then it broke.  I've known lots of people who have had this problem with the spot bot.  I loved it while it worked, and DH keeps saying that he's going to take it to a repair shop, but he's been saying that for about 3 months now.
