AW PIP: what I've been working on
I have a few spots to patch up where the pearl paint went over the tape to the other side, but for the most part I'm done. This is one wall in my new office. What do you guys think?

Re: AW PIP: what I've been working on
Thanks! This was my first try with something like this. I painted the blue first, then taped out the pattern and painted the pearl. The taping was the hardest part.
Also, if I did a different technique of applying the paint it might have been easier not to go over the tape into the blue parts, but I didn't want to rag or something because it wouldn't have been modern enough for the look I was going for. So I brushed it on straight up and down, and ended up going over the tape.
Oh and a tip for anyone using painters tape - get Frog Tape. It's green, but isn't the green painters tape, it's something new. It works awesome! There were hardly any spots that the paint went under the tape, and where it did it was minimal. I highly recommend it.
Thanks :-) It's funny how silver it looks actually, because in the can it is definitely white-ish creamy pearl. I like it though, it will match the hardware :-P
Excellent, I love it!!
I would imagine so. That requires a lot of patience and would look a bit funky if done wrong. I get a little too perfectionistic with that kind of stuff, so if it were my project I would probably never actually get to painting the pearl, lol!No wonder you've been painting so long, that looks awesome! Love the silver paint, I've never seen anything like it. You've got some serious skills, girl.
I read about the Frog Tape recently in Real Simple. They highly recommended it too.
I think as long as you have the patience for the tape you could totally do it
