Good Morning! How was everyone's weekend?
Ours was great :-)
Had dinner with my parents on Friday.
Saturday went to the craft show with my mom and my friend E. Then my mom and I did a bit of regular shopping after as well. Saturday night hung out at E and her fiance's house. The non-friends came too, but they actually weren't too bad, so that was good.
Yesterday my ILs came over for a bit and brought us lunch. Then they informed us they were making a spiral ham for dinner, so I jumped on that opportunity :-P Went there for dinner, and saw my SIL as well :-)
Re: Good Morning! How was everyone's weekend?
Our house party was a success Saturday night.
But the weekend ended sh!ttily. NFT.
You're not kiddin. I'm so glad I fell asleep before the end and didn't have to see it with my own eyes!
I wish I had! I was up for an hour or two afterwards because I was so angry I couldn't fathom sleeping.
ETA: And I'm draaaaging this morning. My eyes are so heavy.
I had a pretty good weekend, all in all.
Friday wasn't so great because DH ended up working super late so we didn't even get to watch a movie or anything. I had to get up early the next morning for a tournament so we couldn't go to bed too late.
Saturday was my women's volleyball tournament. That actually started out sort of bad too because I rolled my ankle really early in the day and I was pissed because I thought I'd be out the rest of the day. I ended up being able to put weight on it though so after sitting out one game I played on it half gimpy and not moving around like I normally do. We ended up winning the whole thing
Yesterday we had a bunch of family members over for an impromptu dinner. That was fun too
Weekend was pretty good over-all but went by WAY too fast!
Friday DH and I had a fire and some neighbors ended up joining us.
Saturday I went to the craft fair with my mom and sis and it was pretty good. Was supposed to go out for "girls night" but so many were sick or their kids were sick so that got postponed so after dinner DH and I went out for a few drinks and some games of pool. Then we watched a movie.
Sunday I did some trial runs of some appetizer recipes that I was thinking of making for DH's work xmas party. Glad I did because the ones we thought we would love were bombs and the others were really good, so now I just have to make them Thursday for the party. We ended up having an appetizer dinner and taking them to FIL and MIL and DH's aunt and cousins who were visiting to get their opinions. Then we watched the Pat's... How disappointing
Mine ended up being really great!
Friday I got home a little late because we had TGIF at work, and my lab was hosting. Then DH and I just hung out and watched the Tudors on dvd (nearing the end of season 2).
Saturday we did go up to VT after all, we went to Simon Pearce and bought a bunch of stuff from our registry (but not even half the stuff still left on there). It cost a ridiculous amount of money, but we got some really lovely stuff. We got 5 place settings (dinner plate, salad plate, mug, small bowl), some stew bowls, some cappuccino mugs, some bar ware, some extra dinner plates, a lovely flat serving dish (which has a glass dome to go over it that we didn't get...yet), a gorgeous, enormous footed bowl that I plan to use as a Christmastime centerpiece bowl, and some other things. Then we had the most delicious dinner we'd had in a very, very long time- which was on the house, as a thank you gift for registering there. We didn't stay over night, so we had about 6 hours of driving (in horrible weather) in one day, but it was totally worth it.
Sunday we went to church for the first time since moving to MA, and it was really nice. We went with my cousin, who introduced us to nearly everyone in the church- he's such a social butterfly. We spent a couple hours winterizing the house (put the AC in the attic and the plexiglass window covers in the screen porch), went to the library to get me a library card, I went to pilates, then we had dinner at my cousins' house.
Today, I'm ridiculously exhausted. I guess I know why! It was such a nice weekend, though.
Did you get anything good? My favorite thing I saw there I didn't splurge on, but my mom did. It was this lady who sold frames with aluminum "ceiling tiles" in them and then magnetic pictures to put on them so you can change them out a lot. I absolutely loved them! I think I will end up buying one eventually when I see her at another show haha.
Sounds like everyone had pretty good weekends!
MrsC- I'm glad your party was a success!
My weekend was good. Relaxed by myself Friday night. Saturday got my nails done, went shopping with a friend, had to go into the office for a bit, and then had a great dinner with some friends. Sunday did my grocery shopping, had brunch with a friend, cooked a soup and pumpkin pie, and did a lot of reading. Very relaxing!
