I'm starting to feel ill will towards my cat.

She is a?mischievous?little thief! ?She really is! ?She has run out of mice to kill (yay) ?but she has decided that baby toys are great things to steel. ?She takes soothers out of the crib, she takes rattles and hides them. ?But now...well she has earned being locked out of the livingroom at night. ?We have the play pen set up in the living room. ?I just rebought a Sophie the Giraffe I KNOW that when we went to bed last night that giraffe was in the play pen. ?This morning the giraffe is gone. ? No clue where it is...grrrrrrrrr. ?Sophie the cat pilfered Sophie the giraffe!! ? She is still a baby and she will out grow the bad cat stage...

Although this may sound like whining I am actually kind of chuckling about this whole thing. ? I just hope I find that freaking toy again. She ain't cheep!?

EDIT: ?As I hit post I saw something that looks suspiciously like a rubber giraffe hoof poking out from under the fridge! ?Sophie has been found...along with three missing baby slippers. ?It appears I have found the cat's stash!?

  • lol :) at least you have no mice.!!! glad you found Sophie!
  • Glad you found the stash!  Or one of them anyway.

A future search tip, check in baskets/newspaper holders, anything with a hole in the top.  my cat "lost" his favorite toy one time and we could not find it ANYWHERE.  And my mom's house was not large, not full of clutter and very clean (not that yours isn't, just not a lot of places for something to be misplaced).  And the cat never took toys outside.

A week after we noticed it was gone my mom went to pull out her knitting and found the toy sitting on the top.  We figure the cat was playing with it and a toss went wild and it landed in the basket.  He couldn't get in to pull it out, which meant we didn't look there because he couldn't get in either.

  • That is annoying.  Cat's have interesting personalities, that's for sure.  Whenever my cat wants to get out of the room when I am sleeping she starts knocking stuff off the desk, dresser, night table, etc. until it wakes me up.

I remember when I first got engaged, she knocked my ring box off the night table one night.  It instantly woke me up and she realized that, and continued to do it for the next few nights until I moved it out of reach.
