I'm not sure what to do! I am wide awake each day and full of energy from 10:00 to 3:00 am. I've already washed, folded and seperated LO's clothing and he room is ready. Last night I cleaned out the guest room and washed down the entire kitchen. From what I've heard & read this sounds like nesting..but holy cow!
The BAD thing is that once I do go to sleep it's sooooo hard for me to wake up in the morning. I have to be at work by 9:30 and today I didn't hear my 4 (yes 4) alarms go off - I woke up at 10:06!!!
This isn't good...is there something I can do/try? If not "oh well" - at least my house will be spotless

Re: Pregnancy Insomnia
The funny coincidence is that everyone I know sees how LO moves in there and you would think that it's less movement due to lack of space...nope!
So anyways they ALL say that she's going to come early. I don't believe that a active baby = early arrival but now I'm nesting?? Jeezze I better make sure the Hospital bag is ready soon just in case!
Maybe you should try something more low key when you're up at night. Cleaning the house isn't going to help you get back to sleep, it's just going to give you a surge of energy.
You might also want to try exercising early in the day or before dinner. That might help you get back on an earlier schedule. I always sleep better when I'm more active.
I don't think there's any corelation between those thing and early delivery though. Different people just feel things at different times. I had insomnia a lot in second tri, but it seems to have gotten better, thankfully. And 28-32 weeks is typically when baby is most active, so I think that's completely normal.
Do you nap before 10PM? I would make sure that between 10-3 you aren't doing too much. When I was up late I would read or do suduko. It helped me to get to sleep faster than if I was up cleaning.
Ben was ridiculously active when he was inside of me. All day, all night. I started nesting in lat 2nd tri and then got into extreme nesting around 35 weeks (including making the decision to rip apart our bedroom and redo it). Ben also had no room inside of me (gained 17lbs and he was 8.8 so I was all baby) and he still arrived 2 weeks late. So I wouldn't put too much stock in that old wives tale. I would think like Rachel and plan on going over.
