New Moon

I am going tomorrow! Glad I won't be stuck in a theater with a bunch of tweens.

Re: New Moon

  • DH and I are going Friday night, but to a small theater that requires all those under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. Oh how I love theaters that serve beer!  I can't wait!

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • Me and 8 other friends are lining up tomorrow night at 9:00 for the 12:30am showing. We're hoping that since it isn't the midnight movie that the we won't be at the tail end of the line at that time.

Oh, also, a friend of mine who lives in LA posted a pic on her Facebook last Friday. It was of people camped out, waiting in line for the New Moon red carpet premiere. ON FRIDAY!

  • M work for Best Buy Corp in the loyalty marketing dept so he got tickets.  Every once in awhile he gets invited to something cool (we got to go to Coldplay concert and to a sound check and had front row seats) It's a premier and the last one we got to go to was Hancock.  They took our picture holding up a car on a green screen.  I wonder if they'll be doing something fun again.
  • Chrissy that is crazy! I cannot imagine waiting in line for that many days!  If I wasn't going tomorrow  I would have waited a week or two.

  • Actually, the folks in L.A. were lining up last Thursday, but it was to line the red carpet/meet the stars, not to actually see the movie (I think maybe 150 of them got to see it, but there were over 500 outside). I know I'll go more than once -- thankfully, I (like Leigha) will be going to a theatre than discourages tweens from coming, so my midnight showing experience will probably be quite different than it was for Twilight.

  • I'm waiting until next week. I've waited 5 months (when I first got into Twilight); what's another week? I seriously CANNOT handle screaming tweens. Not going to happen. No way.

  • Totally did not think of the screaming tween factor. I got my ticket for a 7 pm show on Friday. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

  • I didn't think of the tweens either. 3 of my friends and I are going at 8:30 Friday. Although it is helping me to get through this crazy work week.

  • If the desire to avoid screaming tweens wins our over the desire to see it opening day, some theaters will let you exchange tickets for another time.  I've pre-purchased tickets before and then gotten sick the day of and they let me switch them out for another day (or vouchers, I think).

Hey!  I resemble that remark.  Smile

And FWIW, the last movie I went to was a 10pm show, non-animated movie and some people showed up with 4 kids under the age of 10.  Of course they had to sit in front of us.  I'm beginning to wonder if there really is a kid-free time to go?

That's what I'm blaming it on...baby brain. The scariest thing, I thought everyone was just making bb up but beginning this week it's happened...so watch out other KU J09-ers.

Dude, it's true. I seriously have lost all ability to focus and think about much of anything but my next meal. Mmmm, chicken curry.

I hear it only gets worse...that being said I had a yummy chicken curry salad sandwich for lunch!

  • I'm just sad I don't have a pregnancy to blame my bb on. Last year I could blame it on bride brain.

It's so true! It only gets worse as the kids get older too...I used to have a mind like steel trap. Now, I have to write everything down or it completely escapes me.?
