Facebook Cookbook Challenge?

So I posted this on the Old Knot board, but then the post disappeared, so I'll post this again here.

Since most of us are either entertaining or bringing a dish to a holiday party, I was thinking about opening a discussion board on our FB Cookbook page just for "holiday recipies."  What do you all think?

Re: Facebook Cookbook Challenge?

  • Yes, it went wonky before I could reply.  Yes, we should do "holiday recipies".
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • I SAID...."I would love to....oh how I enjoy stealing your wonderful recipes/ideas and passing them off as my own"....or something like that....Cool
  • Sounds great!  I just joined the group today and I have a soup recipe I'm ready to share and now a holiday one!

  • Sounds good.  I went ahead and made the board.

    Feel free to:

    • Duplicate (copy/paste) your recipes from other discussion boards, if they also apply to holiday recipes.  I'll be doing that with my pecan pie recipe, as it's a holiday favorite.

    • Take the term "holiday" liberally.  Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, Easter, New Year... all welcome!
  • Yes, sounds like a good idea to me!

  • Foto-  I am laughing so loud that the people in the cubicle next to me are looking at me strangely!

I guess there is a cookbook thingy on facebook where people from the board post their recipes.  I removed myself from facebook since I never really used it so I am missing out on all of the fun.

  • LOL, you crack me up.

Go to our normal Knot page, and you'll see a link in the discussion to our '09 Facebook Cookbook.  There's a discussion board for each group of food (entrees, side dishes, soups, etc).  Just post favorite recipes under the right board.

You totally should create a FB account, even if it's just a dummy one, to participate on the board Nicole.  We'd love to steal your recipes!

    Big Smile
