what are the top 5 on christmas list??
i honestly need and want NOTHING! (except a crib/mattress for new baby)...
but my MIL always buys me something. i need ideas. i would love to think of something we really need for the house. if not maybe i will ask for an ikea gift certificate to buy the new crib!

I am with you, Shari. I need practical things like my car fixed and my grad school tuition paid. I can't even begin to think about arbitrary things I want!
I guess I need work pants (crap, that is practical, too!) and I would love a newer iPod.
Small Digital Camera-the H has a big, fancy one but it's a pain to lug around

New makeup (this is something that I hate spending money on)
Christmas decorations (normally I would say this is a crappy gift but I'm in a new house, and I've lived in small apartments until now so my Xmas decoration collection is scarce)

I really can't think of a one thing either...unless it's something big for the house. Luckily my IL's give us a few personal things and then $ do get something we want. We've used it towards our dog one year, a vacation another...and this year it's going towards our honeymoon.
I'm always for spa gift certificates though and I can always use clothes I just hate picking things out for someone else to buy
I would love a Kindle - but we're not doing big gifts this year, and it's too much for family to get me. We'll probably just get gift cards from our family.
I also want ankle boots and some skinny jeans.

perfume, new black winter coat, cant think of much else. but when my mom comes to stay with us early for xmas i am asking her to polish all my silver jewlery (thats all i wear) cuz i HATE doing it and she is so patient and does a great job.
