I just realized that next week around this time I will be outta here (office that is - we get to leave early). So what are you ladies doing for Thanksgiving? Anyone going to the airport?

We are staying in the city!! Although we're sad we won't see our family over the holiday, we're both kind of secretly happy we will have the whole holiday and weekend to ourselves. DH has to work on Friday, so that's a bummer (and the reason we're staying here), but it will be so nice to have our own holiday just the two of us. I'm definitely going to be cooking a mini-thanksgiving as well.
But we'll also use the weekend to get some 'around the apartment' projects done.
Everyone's plans sound lovely.
Although I think I will probably have a turkey in the freezer (my grocery store usually gives a free turkey if you spend like $150 on groceries and we plan on going grocery shopping like the day before), we are going to our old neighbor's home for thanksgiving.
He is an awesome chef! And DH's family never do anything for thanksgiving - boring! So I am excited that we have a place to go and eat a hearty meal and socialize a bit!!

Bubblegum Explosion
DH and I are headed to see my family in Illinois, flying out at the crack of dawn on Saturday. But, the interesting thing is DH must work at his restaurant on Thanksgiving which means he must leave Illinois on Tuesday and head back to NYC to help prepare tons of turkey and sides for hungry folks who don't cook
But, before he leaves we will be breaking plenty of bread as a family and giving thanks a little early! We're really just looking forward to the break and making a vacation out of it, and I'm ready to go!
