Barnes & Noble Nook?
Has anyone pre-ordered the Nook? I have a good friend who is a GM at a Barnes & Noble and he insists this is going to blow away the Kindle.
I haven't been able to find any reviews on it yet, it seems they haven't given it to any publications for review since it doesn't launch until the end of Nov. Has anyone seen a review?
I'm wondering if it's really going to take off and be immediately out of stock.. I'm thinking about getting a pre-order in now... anyone else?

I'm more of an audiobook person than an e-book person, so I probably won't be getting the Nook.
I will say, though, that the touch screen at the bottom seems ingenious to me. Far more utility in that than the permanent keyboard of the Kindle. I don't know if it will blow away the Kindle (it has quite the headstart), but it'll definitely hold it's own for a while.
If you want it before Christmas, you should probably pre-order based on what I've read, but if you're in no rush then you'll probably be fine without a pre-order.
I personally like the look of the Nook more than the Kindle.
B&N is supposed to have a sample in some stores in mid-December, so I want to go check that out before buying one.
If you don't need it for Christmas, then no harm in waiting. They will always make more.
