Last night some friends and I were at the gym for Zumba.  When we left we discovered someone had broken into one of our cars!  (Not mine).  Anyway, she was parked under a light, in a space that you can see from inside the gym (if you were walking the track, you would actually be looking right at her car).  They stole her purse, camera, sunglasses, etc.  Luckily her wallet wasn't in the purse but they did get her check book and her fiance's debit card. 

The most ridiculous part.  The cop did not show up until 90+ minutes AFTER we called.  And while he was with us, another car was broken into the same way on the other side of town.

    That is beyond annoying! I'm glad they didn't make out with too much stuff but then having to sit and wait 90+ mins for the cop! I sure hope they find whoever did it.

    Oh no that sucks!  Thank goodness her whole wallet wasn't in there.  It's that time of year where break-ins and theft are going to rise.  Hopefully they find who is doing it.

    That's what I think.  I'm still annoyed at the cop.  If we hadn't called a state trooper who we know, we would probably STILL be waiting on a cop (apparently the county cops were too busy to come out).

    Wow that is just obnoxious. We had a bunch of break ins at my gym a few months ago. I started bringing everything in with me so I wouldn't risk it. I can't believe it took 90mins for the police to show up.

    If you dont want to bring everything in ith you, put it in your trunk (minus your keys of course).

    Since I drive an SUV, I don't really have a trunk so I'm going to start taking all my stuff in and locking it up in the lockers.  It's just sad that we can't leave things in our cars.
