Ok I am bored at work...Post about anything random! Doesn't matter what its about I want to hear it!!
My random post. My christmas party is coming! WOHO all of my friends look forward to this every year. It is a white elephant party with a twist. The gift is very adult. It is SO fun! I always laugh so hard my sides hurt by the end of the evening!!! Last year we had about 12 people there...this year it looks like 25+!!! We made alot of new friends over the year and plus people that came last year want to bring friends too (which I am totally good with). So excited! So now I need to find a new top (my christmas shirt had to be retired from so many years of use lol)......

Random post...
My MIL and FIL are in poor health and have financial problems. We're going to put their house on the market in January, get them an apartment by us when it sells, put our condo on the market when it sells, and ultimately get a house where we can all live so that we can be there to help them out.
I'm not nervous about living with MIL/FIL - we're pretty close. But i'm freaking out a little over getting a house. That's a lot of money and a lot of responsibility, and this is going to sound silly - but it's a big step for me! (I didn't know that there was another step after marriage! lol) I'm worried about the money and about finding a good home...
Witty. I am right there with you. DH got sent to Spokane WA for the last two weeks (just got home). I spent our 1 month anniversary alone. He did send me roses at work so that made me feel better but still....
Karen,
Owning a house is great! I miss owning my house (we are in the process of buying one right now). You get to paint the walls what ever color you want and do what ever you want with your house. Yes it is a responsibilty but it will be a good thing
And yes there are more steps after getting married. Buying a house, having babies and etc lol. Good luck and sorry to hear about your inlaws
Did anyone see the Janet Jackson interview last night? She SO made me want to jump of the couch and get my butt in shape. She is a beast! (in a good way). I really would like to get my butt back in gear....but I really enjoy eating....and with the holidays it's like forget it. They did away with the "dance-hip/hop) class i used to go to at Gold's and now they just have Zumba on Wed and Sat mornings at 8am! WTF! And I really want to paint our bedroom and bathrooms but my DH works weekends this month (pilot) so I am very eager to pull out the paint can and do it myself....then sit on the floor and curse at how crappy it looks.....
And i really need to go get a mani/pedi because my nails look like crap and I haven't shaved my legs in over a wekk.....hot damn!
My random post addition:
This Saturday I am going to a bridal shower for my friend Sandie. This Sunday night, my hubby and I are going to a wedding for his good friend Alex. Now that our wedding is over, it is SO much fun to go to other people's weddings. I love it!
my random post:
Last week at DH's grandmother's funeral, MIL and her 2 sisters had each decorated a display board with pictures. They were beautiful but one of them was very obviously decorated with things stolen from our wedding. Silk leaves, raffia, orange ribbon.. After the family night we went back to said sister's house and she had an entire basket full of our favors and bubbles. I felt bad for being annoyed about that at such an innappropriate time but DH noticed it too.
mikesboo- I can't believe she did that without asking. Issue could have easily been avoided if she asked you and your husband if she could use the left over items from your wedding.
mikesboo, did said sister use those supplies to help with your wedding and these are just leftovers? That's the only thing I could come up with that would make it less weird.
Agreed with pp's!
...Although I suppose borrowing leftovers from a funeral and using them at a wedding would be worse!!!!
I have a bit of a rant. The Mr and I have had no days off together since the wedding. We did have the day right after the wedding off together but we spent it being hungover and packing up the left over food and decor. I just want one day to relax together, look at our cards again and just have fun instead of work work work! We really should have took more time off after the wedding.
Also I really need to get on with my Christmas shopping. I'm awful this year and have literally 2 things bought. I just can't seem to get going!
