3. What are you most thankful for?
Re: Turkey Day is a week away!
1. What are you plans for Thanksgiving? Having lunch w/ DH family, then watching some football. Friday is black friday shopping for me!!!
2. What are you cooking, if anything? For sure my ranch potatoes ( i have been instructed I can't come to thanksgiving if I dont bring them lol) and not sure what else yet.
3. What are you most thankful for? My health, my family, my new family, to still have a job, and most of all my DH.
1. What are you plans for Thanksgiving? Going to the In-Laws, and scouring sales fliers.
2. What are you cooking, if anything? Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole. Veggie and Dessert TBA.
3. What are you most thankful for? Everything!
1. Late lunch with DH's mom's family then dinner with my family. We may stop by DH's dad's family before we go to his mom's too. (Talk about expanding the waist line!)
2. I'm still waiting for my aunt to let me know... we'll be getting to her house pretty much right when dinner starts, so probably dessert of some sort. I'll make a dessert for DH's family too.
3. I am most thankful for the growth between DH and I over the last year and that I got to marry such and exceptional man.
MY BLOG!
MY BLOG!
1. Plans? We are having Thanksgiving at our house. DH's parents and my mom are all coming over. Stuff our faces with food, take a nap, watch some football, then watch a movie together.
2. Cooking? We are cooking the turkey, mashed ps, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and rolls.....and for breakfast that moring I am making an Italian Strata and some bacon....then setting out the veggie tray and some shrimp. Everyone else is bringing pie and the other fixings....
3. Most thankful for? On a serious note.....when I was a Junior in High School my parents had gotten divorced a year before and my mom and I were doing the best we could to make ends meet....things were really hard that year and for thanksgiving my mom had applied for food stamps just so we could eat. We had to go to Shop N Save and got the smallest hen they had...wasn't even a turkey. My mom busted her ass to make sure we had a thanksgiving dinner, So every Thanksgiving I remember this and how thankful I am for my family! On top of that, I am thankful for my health, my husband, having a job, and being able to live life to the fullest.
I need to reply to my own questions...
1. Plans? Staying home during the day and then going over to in-laws for Thanksgiving dinner. Definitely going to be looking at sales ads too. My hubby's family eats in the evening and then stays up really late. Almost late enough to head straight out to shop from there.
2. Cooking? Husband is deep frying a turkey. I am making stuffing balls (basted in butter.. yummy) and a green bean casserole.
3. Thankful? My husband, family, friends, health, this board... etc.
1. What are you plans for Thanksgiving? We are going up to H's aunt's house. She has a big get-together every year with all the aunts and uncles and cousins.
2. What are you cooking, if anything? I'm bringing pumpkin bread and wine
3. What are you most thankful for? DH! My family, our health, our house, and having a job.
1. What are you plans for Thanksgiving? Going to both families houses and then passing out in a food coma. We're going camping next weekend with some friends.
2. What are you cooking, if anything? For my family - we are bringing soft drinks, baked macaroni and cheese and sweet potato casserole. My my in-laws, green bean casserole, soft drinks and I thought a dessert but the hubby says we are not bringing one.
3. What are you most thankful for? My husband, our family and friends, our house, our health, and that we both have jobs, even though I don't love mine right now, I know I'm lucky to have it.
1. What are you plans for Thanksgiving? Next Wednesday we're driving out to Wichita from St. Louis and staying thru Sunday. We used to stay at hubby's parents' house but his mom drives me CRAZY so we booked a jacuzzi sweet in a nearby hotel. Nothing like relaxing in a jacuzzi with a glass of wine after a big turkey dinner.
2. What are you cooking, if anything? Since we're traveling I usually make some type of dessert that travels well and will keep for a couple days. I think I'm going to try a cookie recipe this year since his family usually has the pies covered. I really wish I could bring this Orchard Spice apple wine that we have cause it would be awesome with dinner, but that would be a bad idea since most of DH's family is mormon.
3. What are you most thankful for? I am so thankful that I married a man that's so loving and supportive of me. He recently let me quit my job where I was miserable so I could work on following my dreams, and I know I couldn't have done that without his support. I'm thankful we had the wedding that we wanted and my grandpa was able to live to see it- his health seems to be declining pretty rapidly and I've been worried about how much longer he'll be around.
What are you plans for Thanksgiving?: I have to work till 4pm (I work in a grocery store bakery.) My mom is watching my kids and my DH's ex will have his son. So we are spending our first thanksgiving at home alone. I am excited!
What are you cooking, if anything?: We are doing a ham, mashed sweet potato's, almond green beans, rolls, stuffing for DH, cranberry sauce for me. Then I am making a light version of pumpkin pie.
What are you most thankful for? My wonderful amazing DH, our children. That we are moving into our first home this weekend.
