AW: My photos are getting featured!
Last Feb/March, I bought an entry-level DSLR camera. Wanted to take better pics for etsy and also wanted to have it for family events, etc. Well I've started taking it to Capitals games and practices (I figure since I am loving photography and I absolutely love hockey, why not mesh the 2?!) I started a flickr account and have been uploading frequently.
In the past week 2 big Capitals blogs have used my photos! The first was the "official unofficial blog of Alex Ovechkin"...the writer is Russian so he gets insight on things over there, etc. The second is a daily blog with news updates, links to pro photos in the past 24 hours, etc. Well I was reading it this morning at work like I always do and bam - there was a tag line on a photo I used and a link to flickr. I clicked it thinking no way it could be mine but sure enough, it was! My flickr account came up with the photo. I was floored 
Now I just need to figure out how to wrangle a media pass so I can sit right next to the ice and shoot...hmmm...
