Local furniture shops

Hi girls. A good friend of mine is looking for a kitchen table, chairs and new family room furniture.  We've check out nearly every store we can think of in this town.  She's looking for a dark brown, square table that will extend with leaves to seat 6-8 people.  It's tougher than you think to find that!  She's looking for a "worn" look and squared off legs (vs round, peg like legs).  Who are we missing?

Sofa Express
Rhodes
Kittles
Arhaus
JCPenny Furniture Outlet
Value City
American Freight
Front Room Furnishings
Haverty's
Pier One
Crate and Barrel
Pottery Barn

I know of the Minerva Park Furniture Gallery but have no idea if it's still in business or not. I've also suggested the Amish Originals store in Westerville.

Thanks!

Re: Local furniture shops

  • Sofa Express went out of business unfortunately. They declared bankruptcy :(

She might want to try an unfinished wood furniture place. There is one off of Sawmill Road on 161...it's close to Burlington coat factory. If they don't have one there, they might be able to order one for her. She could pay them to stain it as well. Just a thought :)

  • I was also going to suggest Unfinished Wood Furniture in Dublin. We bought a blanket box, HUGE dresser (as wide as a queen size headboard) and 2 bookcases. We love it all, but I think the dresser could have been made better. The bookcases and blanket box are heirloom worthy, they'll be passed down to our kids. So, great service, good prices, good finishes, and I bet you can change out legs on a table if you wanted. I think we delt with Mary when we bought our stuff in Nov. 2006.
  • There is Thomasville as well.
  • There's also a Macy's furniture off Tuttle Crossing (at least there used to be)
  • Oh, and also an American Signature up there (off Tuttle Crossing, just west of 270), too, I think.
  • World Market at the Lenox had a few dark tables when we went in on Saturday.  Not sure if any where what she is looking for exactly.
  • I would try an antique store, there is one off of Brice Rd that we got an incredible deal on a hutch. If she is looking for the worn look that might work. Sofas might be hardere there.
  • Bassett...but not sure they'd have what she is looking for.
