I finally lost the urge to chop length off my hair, but I am craving a change. I'm thinking of, instead of fighting the natural red tones to my hair, I should embrace it and go auburn. Something like this:

Here's me right after dyeing to fight the red:
And here's me with my normal (dyed) hair a few weeks from dyeing when the red starts pulling through:

It looks auburn in pics, so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch -- I'd just be pulling more red?
Any advice welcome!

Re: Hair color advice (PIP)
ooh la la!! Definitely don't fight the red! That would be perfect and amazing on you. Especially with your gorgeous eyes. De-lish!
Do you remember my blog post a while back with hair colors? I swear, everyone looked better with some red in their hair. Please do it!!!!?
Thanks for the replies!
angel - I'll need to re-look at that blog! You think it will work with my skin and eyes then? Since my HG boxed dye is a mere $3, it's not an expensive risk (sshh, I'd be crucified on F&B for that confession!).

?
I think it will be perfect on you, especially with your eyes. Skin can be a bit trickier, you may need to add some more bronzer or play with blush colors, but all in all--this is a freaking gorgeous look and you have the perfect bones for it. Also, maybe not go all - out from the getgo? I am introducing some red into my hair just by using "Golden" shades instead of ash because my natural hair has a lot of red anyways (looks like yours does too).

Just read it again!
Eek, I'll have to research what kind of blush would look good with the auburn. I have a few different shades in my arsenal right now, but I can't imagine they'll look any good.
Maybe I've been afraid to embrace the red because my stepmom always used to say "I'd rather be dead than a redhead." ::sigh::
