Since this is being held at the LSU stadium does anyone know if they will sell beer inside the stadium during this event?? I was thinking it's banned at all NCAA stadiums but not sure about for concerts.
Re: Bayou Country Superfest
I think the rule is that alcohol cannot be served for SEC events. The concert would not be an SEC event. They sold beer for the Saints games held there after Katrina.
This is legal advice. Circa 2011
Budweiser is the main sponsor so I'm guessing beer will be sold!??
Does anyone know of nearby hotels--walking distance to the stadium?
I'm having a hard time trying to map things for some reason..everything looks far.
There's a hotel right there on Nicholason Dr, but I cannot remember the name. It's about a 10 min walk.
There's also Lod Cook, that's LSU's hotel on Campus.
If drinking is that important to you, do what everyone else will probably do - "tailgate" all day and drink then
Also check out the hotels on Constitution Ave.
ETA: I would not walk to LSU from Constitution Ave.
This is legal advice. Circa 2011
Thanks for the help-I've never been to Baton Rouge.
The Cook is booked
.
Would it be safe/feasible to walk to the Red Lion Hotel (east toward 10) or better to go north toward town?
All the hotels listed in normal searches are WAY too far away to walk. There is a new hotel on Nicholson near the stadium. It's StayBridge Suites. It's the only hotel within walking distance other than Lod Cook.
That's the one I was trying to think of. I am glad you knew!
No problem
Hey I'm the mascot.. it's what I do. Ha!
Yes that's correct it's just the SEC rules. They serve beer for the ULL games. And anytime it's not an actual SEC event they can.
They flippin better because I'll be snuggling in then.
