Do you call your ILs Mom & Dad?
Re: Do you call your ILs Mom & Dad?
We call each others parents by their first names, when we have to. Mostly now we just use "grandma" and "grandpa".
I use grandma and grandpa a lot too. BUT, my husband informed me a while back that he thinks I should address them personally. He must have noticed that I kind of avoid it since my MIL calls herself Mom C to me (if I answer the phone)...and I would feel fine calling her mom...but I am finding it hard to take that step, I guess.
No! I call them by their first names.
I love them and respect them "like" I would my parents, but I only had one mom and dad.
I call them by their first names. I've always wondered what others call their ILs--great question!
This is kind of funny but I don't call them anything! Haha! They (nor DH) never really told me what to call them-even when we first started dating. I try to avoid saying their names (I know thats really bad) in conversation. If I call them or something, then I use their first names. We've never had the what to call you talk.

I call my ILs by their first names. My MIL really wanted me to call her mom, she told DH this, it caused a fight between me and her. I told her I just wasn't comfortable.
