I was just now playing around on craigslist and stumbled upon a slew of in home daycares.
Is it shady to find childcare on CL?

I understand. We signed up for one of those online sitter matching services last year. But then I couldn't go through with it.
How is the hunt going? Do you at least have a backup place picked yet?
Yeah, I've looked at those too. I'm just so hesitant to even talk to someone if I haven't gotten their name through a reputable source.
Overall, I guess it's going ok. We do have a back up plan. It's affordable, close by and the lady is really nice. And her house is very clean. But her hours and schedule make me give her the side eye and I foresee it becoming a headache for us.
One of my friends who stays at home kind of offered to watch the baby for us but she also has scheduling issues. And I don't like her husband. Not in a creepy sort of way but in a he's a jerk sort of way. So again, it wouldn't be the end of the world if she watched him/her but I foresee it being a headache.
You know, I always knew that I would have to go back to work when we did have kids but I never thought that searching and finding good daycare would be this hard. I effing hate this.
