Jazzercise?

Anyone do this?  Likes/dislikes?  I noticed that the cost and sign-up fees ($25 - $75) vary from location to location.  Will they "price match" or can I register/start out at one location and then move to a different one later?

Re: Jazzercise?

  • I used to go a few times a week and loved it. I thought the step class was a better workout than the basic class. I don't know about the fees and franchises though, sorry.

  • I love Jazzercise! I have been doing it for about a year and all through my pregnancy.  Its fun. The music is great, people are nice, and its a kick-butt full body workout.

The monthly dues are $38 for unlimited classes and they have them at most times throughout the day and evening.  There is a joining fee but they always have promotions and discounts.

Call Wendy she is the best! I go to the Oakley location, they have the most class availability. They also have child care for $1 a class.

  • I did it long ago.  Women at all fitness levels go, a few men too!  I think they have a few videos (might be old) if you want to check those out, plus I remember them having promotions, trial periods, etc.  I bet they'll have some deals in January.

  • I've been wanting to try Jazzercise too!

My sister's done it for years. I think she started out with the regular class, then moved on to the step class. I guess maybe after she got more in shape?

    GL!
  • I loved Jazzercise! I did it for almost a year with friends. I think the fees were around $30 a month. But I really thought it was a great workout even though I could barely keep up with the dances sometimes - ha ha. I just stood in the back so no one could see how terrible I was!

  • Hey Christine, if you find one near Mason will you let me know? I would like to try it out. When I lived in Vegas I had a colleague who was a Jazzercise instructor and I always meant to go check it out but I never did.  She loved it and was in incredible shape in her 50's.

There are a few locations I'm considering which is why I was asking about whether fees are interchangable.  The closest one to me would be the one in Landen (by 20 Mile House).  We can try Jazzercising together!  I'm pretty sure I'm going to go sometime to at least see what it's all about...
