I really can't believe I'm typing this- but here at my office we're sponsoring about 20 families for Thanksgiving and each "area" has been designated a food (i.e. my area is instant mashed potatoes).
My friend is on the committee, and they just went around and collected the food and she came in here in tears- someone at the other end of the building took 5 large cans of mandarin oranges out of the bin. She knows because it was her who put them in the bin 2 days ago, and now they are not there. They stuck out because they were the only tall cans vs. all the other smaller ones.
Seriously? I hope that whoever took them reaaaalllly needed them, because it makes me sick to think that someone I work with, or our cleaning people, would even think to take food that is for the needy.
