as i am sitting here writing this the tears are streaming down my face. a very dear friend of our has been battling cancer, long story short, she has beaten cancer three times with last round of cancer requiring a horrific year of chemo and radiation that in and of itself almost killed her. well the cancer is back, as stage 4 that has metastasized which is of course devastating news. she has finished her radiation to shrink the tumors and is now meeting with drs to evaluate clinical trials and what next. her fighting spirit is definitely beyond strong and yes miracles do happen so please any positive energy or vibes that can be thrown out into the universe would be great appreciated. its amazing because recently we have had had a lot of different stresses in our lives but this situation with our friend (who happens to be a year younger than me) just makes me realize more than ever how important it is to cherish life and loved ones and not sweat the small stuff. thanks for reading-just had to get this off my chest as it has been such devastating news for my husband and me.

Oh Alix!
So sorry to hear this. If this helps any, my step-mother was given just a few months to live after they found stage 4 breast cancer cells that metastasized in her liver. That was 4 years ago. She is still going strong. The will to live is very empowering. I will definitely be keeping your friend in my prayers.
I'm so sorry. It makes me feel like crying... and, I don't even know her. Cancer is such a horrible thing to face... not just for the person who has it... but for everyone who surrounds the person. Stay strong. I am sure that you help her more than you know with your positive spirit.
Sending love and prayers your way

(((HUGS))) to you and your friend.
My friend's MIL was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer several years ago and it has one of the lowest survival rates. She's now cancer free and past the 5 year mark. Miracles do happen!
So sorry to hear the news. She is certainly a very courageous woman!
Sending loads of healthy vibes. I am sure being surrounded by her dearest friends and family means the absolute world to her. Keep strong!
