very sad vibes needed

as i am sitting here writing this the tears are streaming down my face.  a very dear friend of our has been battling cancer, long story short, she has beaten cancer three times with last round of cancer requiring a horrific year of chemo and radiation that in and of itself almost killed her.  well the cancer is back, as stage 4 that has metastasized which is of course devastating news.  she has finished her radiation to shrink the tumors and is now meeting with drs to evaluate clinical trials and what next.  her fighting spirit is definitely beyond strong and yes miracles do happen so please any positive energy or vibes that can be thrown out into the universe would be great appreciated.  its amazing because recently we have had had a lot of different stresses in our lives but this situation with our friend (who happens to be a year younger than me) just makes me realize more than ever how important it is to cherish life and loved ones and not sweat the small stuff.  thanks for reading-just had to get this off my chest as it has been such devastating news for my husband and me.

Re: very sad vibes needed

  • Alix, I am so sorry to hear about your friend.  what a tough, tough road that she has already been through and has in front of her. i admire her strength and courage and pray that she is able to beat the odds and overcome this cancer yet again.
  • Alix, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.  It's amazing to me the courage and strength that people facing such a battle possess.  I lost my best friend to cancer 3 years ago and today would have been his 47th birthday, watching him battle such a horrible disease was heart breaking.  But I learned so much from his drive, courage, and spitirt - sounds like your friend possesses the same!  My heart goes out to her and to her family and friends.  Sending all the vibes I possibly can her way!
  • Oh Alix!  :(

So sorry to hear this.  If this helps any, my step-mother was given just  a few months to live after they found stage 4 breast cancer cells that metastasized in her liver.  That was 4 years ago.  She is still going strong.  The will to live is very empowering.  I will definitely be keeping your friend in my prayers.

  • It must take a very strong individual to go through what she did and to stay positive even when it came back.  Much positive energy to her, hope a miracle does happen!
  • big hugs!  sending all the get well vibes to your friend.  i have a client with stage 4 colon cancer and  he is actually doing fabulous...keep the faith!

  • I'm so sorry. It makes me feel like crying... and, I don't even know her. Cancer is such a horrible thing to face... not just for the person who has it... but for everyone who surrounds the person. Stay strong. I am sure that you help her more than you know with your positive spirit.

Sending love and prayers your way

  • (((HUGS))) to you and your friend.

My friend's MIL was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer several years ago and it has one of the lowest survival rates.  She's now cancer free and past the 5 year mark.  Miracles do happen!
