First anniversary plans

This board needs a little pick-me-up!

November is rapidly approaching!!  What are your plans to celebrate your FIRST anniversary?

DH is in the Air Force and living in TX until Nov. 20th...our anniversary is Nov. 3rd Sad.  His brother has offered to fly him home for the weekend, so hopefully the Air Force lets him.  We are moving to Denver in Nov. so I guess we will get to celebrate there!  We are also planning a trip back to Cayman (where we honeymooned) in Jan. or Feb. 2009.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

Re: First anniversary plans

  • We are going to Mexico in 3 weeks as an early celebration, buying another wedding band to go on the other side of my e-ring, and having a nice dinner.  I can't believe its almost been a year!
  • We are going to Cancun 2 weeks after our anniversary for a little 4 day trip. Can't wait!
  • So glad this board is opened! Our local nest is pretty dead.

We are trying to buy a house to taking a big trip is out of the question right now. My 30th birthday is 2 weeks after our anniversary so I think we'll just have a big party. This year has gone by so fast!

  • I think we'll have dinner at a revolving restaurant on top of a hotel on the Ohio river in Cincinnati and then stay at a nice hotel for the night. ?I'll also get back in contact with the Bengals announcer, who announced us at our reception, to get us tickets to the Thanksgiving Sunday game.

    ?

I can't believe it's almost been one year. ?Hope everyone has a great time doing what they have planned!?

  • We are planning an early road trip and then staying at the hotel we stayed at for our wedding night on the actually anniversary!  Looking forward to both :-D
  • Probably just dinner for us.  Not sure where.  We're really boring people.  Maybe we'll go to TGIFridays! hahaha.
  • We are going to Jamaica; we met people from England when we were in the Bahamas for our honeymoon and they are going to meet us there to celebrate our anniversary with us.
  • Our schedules are pretty hectic (I'm a teacher, he's a sous chef). We're going to do dinner and are trying to book something for a weekend getaway. I can't believe it's almost been a year!
