Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Need help...
I've taken over as moderator for the Maine board, which has been VERY slow lately.
I'm looking for ideas of polls, daily "activities" and such that have worked on your boards that might get things going.

We do a daily Good Morning post, which gets people chatting. We also do lots of polls, Confession posts (i.e. I ate 3 Krispy Kreme doughnuts for breakfast, etc...), and also have posts about tv shows like Glee, Biggest Loser... And we have had a get together pretty much every other month for a while.

Show and Tell Tuesday- it varies, usually Show me this and Tell me why
Flame Free Wednesday- always fun
Open Letters Thursday- This and FFW seem to get the most posts
TGIF- wedding related and no wedding related plans for the weekend
AW Weekend- what you accomplished all week, wedding or other

I'm really struggling with my board too (Retro/Vintage weddings). It was really slow before the board change, but I think the board change has scared some of the regulars away. Or maybe they can't find it. I don't know
Anyway, I do a monthly poll and that usually gets things moving a little, but I feel stupid being the only poster sometimes.
