I still haven't found a design for #2 though, and it's been almost 5 years!

Great tattoo! I have heard the foot is the most painful place to get one.

Hah! Its sort of true, although I'd much rather get a tattoo then go through labor again anytime soon.

I LOVE my tattoo and am glad I have an excuse (Hunter) to get a new one. I am contemplating his first footprints, his initials, or something similar. DH thinks he's going to get one...but he's such a wuss about pain I can't see him doing it!

I heard the foot hurts a lot because there just isn't a lot of padding there. My first was on my back, kind of on the back of my hip, not in the middle. That one didn't hurt at all. My second was on my wrist and it is so tiny I barely remember how it felt.

I have words on both of my wrists and they didnt hurt at all. I mean, not at all. My back hurt from sitting before my wrists hurt. The one on my back hurt a lot because I dont do well with not being able to see it being done. Drew says that they (foot tattoos) hurt so bad because the skin is hard to grasp on your foot and it makes the pain more intense with no padding and lots of tendons and veins.

eep! I love foot tattoos BUT because of this no padding and LOTS of veins and tendon combo I don't think I will ever have one.

Im a total wuss myself... but it wasnt as bad as i thought it wold be. But dont get me wrong it hurt! I think his baby footprints would be beautiful! I love that idea!! How is lil man doing?

it was done from the stamp that I used to make our save the dates for the wedding...Drew has the same thing on his leg. Big Smile

Like everyone said, once you get your first one, you're hooked! I got the kids' names in an anklet when I turned 30. Then I got a celtic heart on the back of my neck when I got my massage degree. I have a huge tribal John Deere tramp stamp now (yeah, you know why I got that one). The only one that hurt was the tramp stamp. He had to stop because I was going into shock, shaking, sweating, dizzy... That was when he was doing the detail work over my spine.

I have a butterfly on my foot (for my mom). I am super lucky because D does them and we have everything at home. I dont have to go anywhere or pay anything for mine so it is super easy for me to want them all the time. I went from zero to four really quickly and then decided to back off a bit. We are working on my back piece now but havent started yet. Trying to get it all laid out first.

Oh, I would totally have several if DH did them!

I'm sure your back piece will be great, they're always better when you take the time to get all the elements you want.
