My company is taking a retreat in January to a nice resort. I was just told to pick out what the husband and I would like to do at the spa one day. So, I can pick anything out of the spa catalogue (and the company will pay for it), but I must decide today. What should I pick for DH and me?
Re: Which do I choose
Since it will be coworkers partaking in the services together, I don't want to do anything embarassing. Plus, we're doing water activities, so if my skin is raw, I won't get to enjoy it.
I just don't want to wimp out and only get a massage, when I can get something out of my normal price range. What would a wrap entail?
Definitely a massage for DH, if you only get one service. It's always a good option for men. Not all of them feel comforable with the more "girly" options.
ETA: if you want to go all out, get him the most expensive one. There are always some options that cost more than others.

I would also go with a massage... get an upgraded one/hot stone, etc. A lot of spa's offer combination packages that include other services with the massage.

Usually the most expensive things at spas are facials and massages, and since you're concerned about how your face will look post-treatment, I'd say go for a higher-end massage. Like a 90-minute hot stone massage or something like that. If microdermabrasion is done correctly, you won't be red after that either, and that's a definite splurge.
I think I'm going to sign up for a combination mud wrap/body massage package for me, and a heated rock massage for DH. We each had a massage on our honeymoon, and he really enjoyed his.
Our company has never done anything like this before, so it's such a weird surprise that we're taking a "corporate retreat." When I first heard about it, I imagined it to be like the beach day on The Office when everyone was competing for Michael's job. Hopefully this will involve less hot dog eating contests...
This sounds like an excellent decision. I was going to chime in and discourage the facial, too, but it sounds like it's all taken care of.
