New England gift basket ideas?
I'm putting together a gift basket for my dad and stepmom for Christmas since I have no idea what else to get them and they're planning a trip up here sometime next year. I was thinking of getting a couple of books about the area but I don't know what else to include. What kind of New England-ey type things do you all recommend?
Re: New England gift basket ideas?
Cape Cod potato chips and/or New England Coffee Traders coffee mmm. I saw a book once on "Yankeeisms" all about the colloquial speech of us Yanks up here. I don't remember the name of it though. Maybe a map of the areas they're looking to check out, reccommendations on where to stay or what to see. You can get a map of the Freedom trail for example.
Sounds like a fun gift!
NE sports team apparel (hats, shirts, etc)? Tea (boston tea party)? Baked beans candy? Salt water taffy? Do you have nieces/ nephews- Boston based books like Make Way for Ducklings? Anything Salem Witch or Pilgrims related...
Maple syrup, Cabot cheddar, maybe a New Englad themed cookbook.
Very cute gift idea!
exactly what I was going to say!
Maybe some of those cute lobster or moose shaped lollipops they have in touristy areas? Or maple sugar candy? Since it's for Christmas, a Currier & Ives type of print?
