We signed the contract last night on the house!! We even got to pick out our cabinets, the knobs, the railing colors, the counter tops, and the color of the outside of the house! We're both really excited and really thankful for MIL for coming with us because there were a couple things that she knew to ask that we had no clue about!
Now, all we have to do is get with the mortgage people and as long as everything looks good we're good to go!
Re: We did it!
How exciting!! It must have been cool to personalize it too!
YGM
YGM back.
oh my gosh. you made all of those decisions in one night? good work! that's would've taken me months, but i can be slightly indecisive when it comes to stuff like that.
margaritas in mexico
Yeah I'm fairly indecisive myself but between DH, MIL, and SIL we got it all done. And the nice thing is that I don't have to go back and forth on my decision, I picked one that I am so in love with and there's no going back
that is soooo awesome! congrats, how exciting!
Tammy I was thinking the same thing. DH even said leave it to me to make something usually long and drawn out short and sweet. We have been looking online and we knew what we could afford and that we could not afford anything in our immediate area. We can afford any of the houses out there, but we decided we'd build instead of buying a 20 year old home.
So yeah, basically I physically looked at one house on Sunday and signed a contract on it on Monday. I get all nervous about things like that so I like to do it really, really fast - make the decision and go ahead with it before I have time to change my mind lol
I remember when we were thinking about putting in an offer on one back in july. I was so flippin nervous that I couldn't get the words 'yes. I want it' out to our agent. i kept saying 'i think we want it' and she didn't like that answer haha.
But technically you guys have been looking and researching so it wasn't technically a one day decision to up and buy lol. But you still made it look so easy.
I would love to build some day. less chance of big repairs... personalizing everything... thats so awesome! can't wait to see pics! Good luck with all the mortgage stuff!
