Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Ugh - family vent
So after going to New Moon - a private showing that I got tickets for this summer, I had to bolt to a baby shower that I also had. If I had known the baby shower was going to be the same day I would have gone to another show but I got the tickets WAY before I knew.
I pull in - 2 hours late - and rush in to the tail end of the shower. She had already opened gifts and all. The sister of the girl whose shower it is tells me to grab a plate so I do but my entire family gets up to leave and I feel like a jerk. I had told the sister throwing the shower ahead of time I was going to be late. So my mom, cousin and 1 sister sit back down so I can scarf some food down. My other sister complained to me and left. She's like I have to go - I need to clean the rugs of my new place. I'm like "what new place?" and she's like "well if you ever were around you would have known I got a new place and I'm moving at the end of the month." So now I even feel more like crap because 1) I'm late to a shower and 2) eating food while everyone else is waiting and now this. So I fly off the handle at her. I tell her it's not like anyone calls me to talk to me, it's always me calling my family. Noone ever comes to visit my house so why should I bother visiting yours. Plus I'm working 2 jobs and trying to have the resemblance of a life so I'm pretty busy. I was ticked off. I know I shouldn't have said some of those things at the table in front of other people but really, WTF? Once my sister left, my mom said they just found out about the place she's moving to yesterday so my sister wasn't even telling me the truth. Of course, no one said any of this while she was there. UGH!
