He did his MRI last Thursday night and they didn't find anything. His hearing is still 90% gone.
Thank you all for the prayers they truly did work!
Re: F/U on my Brother
I'm glad they didn't find anything and hopefully he'll be able to get some answers. When my DH was in college he woke up one day with ringing in his ears. Once it went away he realized that he had significant hearing loss in his left ear. He went to the ENT and had all the tests and their best guess is that he had some kind of virus. None of the test ever came back with anything and his hearing has not returned. I just have to remember to sit on his right side and I have to talk a little louder to get his attention if we're not in the same room. The most annoying part is the fact that he listens to the TV so damn loud! In the grand scheme of things it could be a lot worse.
My brother is almost completely deaf in one ear (he blew out his ear drum waterskiing) and has something like 60% in his other ear. We've been trying to get him to get a hearing aid for years but he refuses. He just answers "yes" to anything you say to him because he never hears you. Not the best coping mechanism but it can be pretty funny sometimes.
