"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"
Kate Moss said this last week or something....and I gotta say, it has really stuck with me! I feel like this is going to be my motto after DD is born.
I've almost always been maybe 20lbs overweight since puberty..but there was a point where I was "skinny"....so I really can see both sides.
Did anyone hear this and think the same??...Most of the media has jumped down her throat.
Re: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"
My cousin has been saying this for years...and I can see what the message is but I feel like it perpetuates the fight between food and body- and food isnt the enemy...
but if she feels that way- she can pass her plate my way especially right now...I can eat a small horse at this point in the pregnancy
it sounds like a very easy statement for Moss to make. It goes along with a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips. I think that eating is all about making the right choices and the less you eat the fast/fatty/sugary foods the less you want of them.
I can understand why the media jumped at this comment but I don't think it warrants a total frenzy, she isn't out of line.
I see it more like food shouldn't consume you.
And boy, I totally agree about eating a small horse!!! I'm almost glad we're staying in for Thanksgiving...I may have really embarassed myself!
I feel that way when I'm down in weight - all thrilled with myself, and smug at having lost 10 lbs., and convinced that it was way worth it. But then the snacks and the pounds creep back, and the ice cream sundae tastes so good...
I lost 10 this year, and have gained 1 or 2 back - I'm trying to nip it in the bud now. Winter's the hardest time for me.
I too was wondering why everyone was jumping down her throat for this. Also, Valerie Bertinelli said "Nothing tastes as good as HEALTHY feels" in her interviews about her weight loss success- and there wasn't this uproar about it. While I don't like Kate Moss' skinniness (girl needs to put on a few if you ask me) I don't think she should be vilified for it.
Agreed. Not much of a fan of Kate Moss but I feel awesome when I don't weigh what I am right now. So yes....being skinny for me feels great and does make me want to eat less not so healthy foods to keep the feeling going. However on the opposite when I am a bit heavier....I will eat more unhealthy foods with less guilt. It's weird. If I had to pick one...I would pick the skinner healthier me.
