So, I'm just curious. Has anyone ever deep fried a turkey? I've never done nor tasted it myself... I'm just perplexed by the idea.
Re: Deep Frying a Turkey
My Blog!
They're really flippin good. They're sooooo juicy!
They DO need to be cooked under CONSTANT supervision. And NEVER place it in the oil frozen...it will explode.

Uh... explode?
... Really?
Yep. Explode. Check out this youtube video I just found on it. It also tells you the SAFE way to fry a turkey.

yeah I saw that on Trauma last night.
FIL knows a lot about food so I'm sure he'll take the necessary precautions. He's not affraid of stuff like that anyway.
Holy geez. Okay. Exploding turkeys. Understood!
Thanks for the video!
My husband deep fries a turkey every year and it is so good! You definitely need to measure the oil first so you don't over fill it and have it catch on fire. You also have to make sure the turkey is completely defrosted.
Deep fried turkey is so amazingly good. Juicy, tender, and then skin is so crispy- yummy!
