about the first time your husband introduced you to someone and said, "This is my wife, (insert your name here)".
This happened to me on Sunday night when we went to a wedding of one of his co-workers. He introduced me to one of the groomsmen in the wedding and said, "This is my wife, Nicole". I was so tickled that I giggled. I bet the groomsmen thought I was crazy.
Your turn...
Re: Tell me your story...
It still sounds funny to me too...
DH works for a jewelery store and a couple of weeks ago, he brought home a brochure they were mailing out to show off some of their pieces. I thought one of the rings was really cute. The next day, a customer called DH at the store and said, "I saw this ring in your brochure and I want to come see it." DH said, "that's funny, that's the one piece my wife picked out too!" I didn't even hear it first hand, but it made me smile.
Also, we were at a wedding last weekend and DH's parents introduced me to someone as their daughter-in-law. DH wasn't even there, it was so weird! Haha
LoL, it happened before we got married, actually. He was calling the hotel we stayed at for our honeymoon, and checking to make sure that the reservations for "Me and My Wife" were confirmed.
I giggled. I couldn't help myself!
On our honeymoon I giggled every time they called me "Mrs. Lastname" and I still do (sometimes).
We had just gotten back from the honeymoon and DH had a lunch meeting with some co-workers from his old office. While he was in the office, he wanted to meet the new boss guy of his old department. Well he brought me cause I was going to lunch with the old crew too, and introduced me as his wife to one boss and I giggled. Boss was like, still getting used it are ya? yep still new to me!
At the wedding, my cousin was asking who the vegetarian was (we had soy chik'n breast served for the veggies) and I said, "my fiance is. Wait, no...my husband." I laughed like a school girl.
The first time he introduced me as his wife was a few weeks ago and it made me giggle inside, I waited until we were away from the person to giggle outloud.
DH loves calling me Mrs. Newlast name and I have to say I really love it!
Whenever anyone in my family or DH's family calls, they always say "hello Mrs. Fallaize!" DH introduced me as his wife before the wedding actually... when we were showing our condo to a potential tenant lol. But I'll always remember it!
I'm still trying to get used to calling DH, DH. On here I've written FI many a time and had to go back and delete it... and last week I called him my BF. Ahh..
The first time he did it, my attention was on something else, I heard "I'd like to introduce you to my wife" and it didn't register. I am so used to being the fiancee. So he actually had to poke me in the side to get my attention, and I said "Oh, sorry, you meant me". We explain to the other people that we are still new at this. Everyone got a laugh out of it though!
The week after our HM we went to a happy hour with his coworkers, and he introduced me as his wife to his boss. It was awesome :-)
Funny story - ON our honeymoon, he met another couple at a bar and introduced me as his FIANCEE! ::slaps forehead:: old habits die hard!
